Mold Removal Panacea Mechanism

Mold is present everywhere both indoors and outdoors. Mold spores are microscopic that float in air freely and can enter your home via your pets, heating systems doors and windows. Since molds thrive on moisture, they grow best in areas with high moisture and areas that are exposed to water. In addition, molds can cause serious health hazards. Therefore, it is necessary to remove molds at its earliest before it covers your entire house and affects your health.

Remedies for mold removal-

1.    Look for signs of mold on surfaces, walls, flooring, dusty odors, discoloration or dark stains on surfaces.
2.    Contact a mold inspector if the mold growth is over 10 square feet. He/ she must be a certified inspector. 
3.    Inspection process includes visual inspection, temperature, humidity and moisture reading of your home.
4.    Dispose of all absorbent/porous materials like ceiling tiles etc because it can fill tiny cracks which will make the cleaning process more difficult.
5.    Refrain from painting. Do not paint over a moldy surface unless it is completely cleaned because the paint will not adhere to the surface and will peel off within a day or two.
6.    Since molds contains air borne particles, it is important to keep proper protection during mold removal cleaning process.
7.    Be sure to wear an N- 95 respirator. These are available at hardware stores easily.
8.    Wear goggles to protect your eyes from spore infection and gloves to keep your hands safe from infection.
9.    Also, there are some home remedies for mold removal. Some of which includes- mixture of bleach and warm water, vinegar, borax solution to inhibit mold growth, and baking soda. These all are good for mold removal. You can try spraying these from a spray bottle and can inhibit mold growth.
